The Details
Outside mount caps have a “skirt” that surrounds the chimney’s crown, protecting the entire structure–including the crown—from precipitation and the effects of freeze/thaw cycles. An outside mount cap is fastened to the side of the chimney and is NOT screwed into the top of the crown, leaving the integrity of the crown in place. Our flat-lid styles feature a cross break, preventing standing water. All outside mounts come in various options for the top and the base to suit your style preference.
